The Church of the Annunciation was the cathedral of the Diocese of Vico Equense until 1818 when it was abolished. It’s the only example of the Gothic style in the Sorrento area, while the facade is in Baroque style.
Built in the early 14th century on a clifftop overlooking the sea. Inside are preserved precious pieces of furniture, a carved choir, frescoes and paintings of great value and engraved tombs in one of which rest the remains of the famous Neapolitan economist Gaetano Filangieri.
